Todd Sorensen Professional Bio
Mr. Sorensen is one of the finest multi-faceted musicians today. He has over 35 years of experience in the music industry. He is most recognized and in demand as a session drummer and percussionist as well as an arranger/composer and producer.
As a drummer/percussionist he has played on thousands of sessions,
hundreds of CD’s, movies and promos for both domestic and international clients including the film "The Sandlot" and TV shows including Oprah Winfrey, The Today Show and many others. As a composer he has worked on numerous album recordings but is best known for his work on music for the major networks and cable channels including ABC, CBS, NBC and shows such as “Good Morning America, The Today Show, Oprah Winfrey,” etc. He has also written over 500 cues for various world class music libraries.
He has written custom film trailer music for such blockbuster as Spiderman 2, X men 2 and others. His interest and experience in music production has lead him to develop a music library venture called “Anarchy Music” providing world class promotional and production music to the industry. To date he has written or produced 30 CD's for Anarchy Music.
In 2005 he started an online business with two additional partners. Drums on Demand was founded to provide high quality drum loops and song writing tools to composers/drummers and songwriters.
Drums on Demand has been very successful and has over 15,000 clients in its database and has grossed over 2 million dollars since its inception.
Mr. Sorensen has also setup an online custom drum and percussion service at his personal studio providing world class drum and percussion tracks to his domestic and international clientele through his website,
Todd has taught as a full time faculty member at Utah Valley University for the past 5 years. He has been instrumental in creating and implementing UVU’s growing commercial music degree program. He enjoys preparing students for the current challenges within the industry.
